I write mysteries and suspense. My first novel, The Last Day, was highly commended in a joint competition run by Bloomsbury Publishing and Mumsnet in 2012.
My second novel, The Outsider, was published in March 2015.
I’ve been writing on and off for as long as I can remember. I consider my first book to be ‘The Crown Jewels Mystery’ which I wrote (and illustrated quite badly) when I was nine years old and is sitting in a box in my attic somewhere. I wrote my first novel almost ten years ago and, although complete rubbish, it was valuable writing practice.
I wrote an award winning parenting blog, Babyrambles, when my children were little (now they’re old enough to google themselves and me I’ve deleted it). I’ve also written articles on parenting and blogging for a range of websites. When not writing or working, I like to crochet, sew, run, read, walk the dog, nag my children and eat a lot of chocolate.
